Meshes Supported By GridPro
Structured multi-block grids generated in GridPro can be exported in structured and as well as unstructured grid formats. In structured grid format, grid data can be written in Elementary block format or in Super-block format. In Elementary format, every single block constructed during the topology building stage is retained and exported while, in Superblock format, certain blocks are merged to reduce the number of blocks. Here is the list of options available in GridPro to export the grid in structured grid data format.
CFX4;
GASP;
WIND;
OFLOW;
Plot3d;
GridPro;
CGNS;
DTF
VULCAN
When the grid data is required in unstructured grid format, the structured grid is exported as a collection of unstructured hexahedral cells. This option is beneficial for those CFD solvers which need hexahedral grid data in unstructured format. Following is the list of formats in which grid data can be exported in unstructured format
Acusim/Acusolve
CGNS
CGNS higher order–quadratic, cubic, quartic.
HOMusic–linear, quadratic, cubic, quartic.
Fluent
GridPro
KIVA
NCC–Both 2D and 3D export supported
OpenFOAM
Patran
STARCD

Nastran
FIDAP
Grid can also be exported as 2D grid sheets. Currently grid sheets can be exported in following formats.
STL
NASTRAN
PATRAN.
