Grid Smoother In GridPro
The grid generation process in GridPro involves an inbuilt algorithm that automatically moves the grid blocks over the surfaces to create smooth and orthogonal grids. This algorithm aims to optimize the grid quality throughout the volumetric region without the need for manual optimization in most cases.
Similar to an elliptic grid generator, GridPro generates the grid in multiple sweeps. During each sweep, the smoothing algorithm works to enhance different quality parameters, including smoothness, warpage, angle differential, length differential, and curvature clustering. These parameters are improved for both concave and convex boundaries, ensuring high-quality grids.
By optimizing these quality parameters, the automatic smoothing algorithm in GridPro creates grids that are smooth and orthogonal, leading to accurate and reliable computational simulations. The default grid output is of high quality, reducing the need for manual adjustments in many scenarios.
