Parametric Design Optimization of REST Class Hypersonic Inlets Using GridPro
NASA Langley researchers leveraged GridPro’s advanced gridding system and CFD-based parametric design cycle to optimize REST inlets. This resulted in a 20% reduction in boundary layer build-up and enabled the rapid exploration of high-efficiency hypersonic inlet designs.
Meshing the Wire Wrapped Nuclear Fuel Assemblies
GridPro’s structured multi-block gridding approach helped to axially coarsen the fine mesh, resulting in a 32 % reduction in total cell count. This made it possible to achieve the accuracy of fine mesh results on a grid with 27 million lesser cells.
